Melody's words chilled the room, and North demanded Jack take her back to the Bird room. Melody couldn't stand up, still trembling with fear, and Jack picked her up. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and her legs dangled off of Jack's arm. He cradled her neck and head with his other arm, and she was the first to notice that he'd been crying.
Bunny shot a look of jealousy towards Jack, him wanting to be the one to take care of Melody. Jack didn't notice though, and flew Melody up to the bird room. As they had landed, Melody untangled one of her hands from it's tight grasp and placed it on Jack's cold face. He looked at her alarmed at first, then his firm gaze softened and he smiled down at her.
They entered the large and dark room, and Melody became afraid and began to shake in fear. Jack flipped a switch and a light brightened the whole room. It was morning in some areas, but here it was only midnight. Jack settled Melody down onto the floor and her shaky feet ceased to a mere tremble as she walked over to her makeshift bed. Jack found blankets and placed them next to Melody.
As they had settled down, Jack had gone to turn off the light when Melody shouted out.
"No! I-I don't want it to be dark." her voice fading to a whisper. Jack nodded his head, and when he raised his staff it now glowed with a blue essence like the specks of blue in Jack's eyes. He flicked off the light, and the staff protruded it's beautiful glow like a nightlight.
"Thanks." Melody whispered. Jack walked over to his makeshift bed, and lied down. Melody turned her head to his and looked at him. He had his head set comfortably on his arm, his other hand handling his glowing staff. He looked up at the ceiling, lost in thought. Melody still felt fear crawling inside of her and she shifted closer to the winter spirit. Jack looked down on her and he shifted closer as well.
Melody felt a little at ease, but not enough and placed her head on Jack's chest, his cold essence becoming more intense. Jack felt alarmed at first, but then he blushed slightly. Melody knew she was being crazy but lying on his chest she felt more at ease than ever, and she too blushed slightly.
"Ummm," Jack muttered. Melody smiled trying to hold back a laugh, "it seems that you don't mind being cold." he whispered. She laughed quietly, and Jack watched as a strand of her hair turned blonde. She looked up at him, not quite realizing how close they really were, and was suddenly in front of his face.
"S-sorry." she apologized yet she continued to stay frozen. Jack didn't know how to respond, other than to blush. They both separated their gazes, smiling awkwardly. Melody rested her head more comfortably on Jack's chest, listening to his heart beat. It was like a rhythm that seemed to lull her back to sleep. Jack looked down at her dark hair, and placed caressed his hand over her hair. The texture was smooth and thick, but slid through his fingers.
Like a lullaby Melody fell asleep to Jack's heart and his comforting hand, and her dream was just as soothing. Jack remained looking at the ceiling and couldn't help but wonder why Pitch wanted her so bad. He'd never actually met Pitch, but he knew of his evil nature. Lost in thought he didn't realize that in the corner of the room Pitch's nightmares were watching with great interest at the connection between Melody and the boy.
They flew back to the lair just as Jack had fell asleep his hand placed in her sleek hair. They neighed excitedly, and finally ended up down in the deep lair. Pitch was standing before the globe, grinning, and listened with great interest as the nightmares explained the scene they had witnessed.
"So, they have an intimate relationship do they? Well of all people I didn't think Jack Frost would fall for anyone. Now it'll only be easier, I'll turn them both, and we shall be unstoppable!" this excited the nightmares and they all cried out in hopeful triumph!

Cato x Reader
The gong rings and you leaped forward, your legs pumping as hard as they could and you ran towards the forest, trying to put as much distance as you could between you and the Cornucopia. You made it to the edge of the forest right as the cannons began to blast behind you. You lost track of the count, instead focusing on the handsome District 2 tribute, Cato, oh Cato, with that blond hair, and the muscular body. You weren't scared of him, in fact, you admire his sheer strength, and the dangerous look in his eyes.
He noticed you and ran straight in your direction. You took a couple steps back, then stopedp, and stared towards him. You remember

So I plonked onto my bed with my laptop and began typing!
Here ya go, fellow HG obsessors. ;P)

Heaving shallow and quick breaths, you speed through the forest, your steel double-headed axe in your hand and your loaded backpack bumping against your back.
You had managed to escape the Cornucopia, but those Careers had followed you. Cato, Clove and Glimmer to be exact.

And it begins. You hadn't even noticed the days gone by, but here you were! in this...lame, grey and red colored uniform, sitting on the side of the training room whilst the higher ups judge you like a dog at a show. You felt your eye's roll as you watched the others (well most of the others) viciously throwing, and climbing and fighting. You had a sword, but really, you were only twirling it in y
